DIRECTIONS:
  From Witney proceed on the A415 to Standlake.  Continue through the village and after about 400 yards, turn left signposted Northmoor.  Then turn right and follow the road signs, bearing right at the next junction.  Keep on the road to the village and Chapel Lane will be found on the left hand side, a short distance after the Red Lion pub.  The cottage is on the right.

Northmoor is a small village about two miles east of Standlake just south of Stanton Harcourt and reasonably close to the river Thames.  The road from Newbridge along the river and through the meadows and pasture is rural Oxfordshire at its most beautiful.  There are many period houses and cottages and a Tudor Dovecote flanking an unspoilt 14th century church.  There is also an excellent country inn and restaurant, many public footpaths and the major centres of Witney, Abingdon and Oxford are easily accessible.
