"Two of our top moments here have been star gazing from the terrace and collecting apples from the orchard" say our vendors. If you too would like to live in a delightful village, Freehold
This lovely 3 BEDROOM BUNGALOW is snuggled down in rural Dorset. It is an easy house to use, both full time or for weekends; close to the Trailway for rural walks, a farm shop, pub and local church. A DOUBLE GARAGE offers a safe place to store bikes and boats, and there are two parking spaces for cars, boats or a caravan.
On entering, the HALLWAY is spacious and all the rooms radiate from it. The SITTING ROOM is a generously-sized bright room, with a large square bay window overlooking the orchard – sunny in the summer and cosy in the winter with its wood burner striking a pose as a focal point. The comfortable KITCHEN/DINER is well equipped and dressed in stylish gloss units. Hidden behind the style, are all the white goods you need: fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washer-dryer. There are also Zanussi fitted gas hob, electric oven and hood. French doors allow light into the room, and open out onto the terrace.
The bedroom accommodation is neatly set off the inner hallway. The MASTER BEDROOM is a delightful room with views out to the enclosed garden. With its EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM, this makes for a rather lovely private suite.
There are TWO further BEDROOMS and a FAMILY BATHROOM to complete a perfectly lovely layout.
Sitting on the edge of the charming "Old Orchard" the property has a very pretty FRONT GARDEN; a small picket fence encloses the shrubs and plants and a stone path leads to the front door. The DRIVEWAY, which is approached from Church Lane, has space for two vehicles and there is a useful DOUBLE GARAGE. A gate leads from the driveway through into the private REAR GARDEN. A pathway wends its way up over lawn and then up steps to the TERRACE; a perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or for evening stargazing - there is very little light pollution in Charlton Marshall!
The lawned garden is part walled and secure, making it a great place for children and dogs to run free.
Charlton Marshall is a charming village close to the historic town of Blandford Forum and only 20 minutes from Poole, with its harbour and cafes. The local pub is very good, the Parish Room hosts a "pop up" cafe and the newly built Village Hall is very well attended and has regular film nights, fitness classes and many other activities. There is a well served local Farm Shop just a mile's walk away.
The trailway is great for bike rides and walks, which can take you all the way to Sturminster Newton, via Blandford, about 10 miles in length.
Charlton Marshall can be found on the A350 between Poole and Blandford Forum. From the Poole direction enter the village and take the left-hand lane opposite St Mary's Church, into Church Lane, then bear immediatley left and the Double Garage and parking are straight ahead of you.
