LOCATION
The marshes are situated in Wheatacre, approximately six miles from the market town of Beccles which offers a comprehensive range of educational, leisure and shopping facilities together with a rail link to London Liverpool Street.

Access to both lots of marshes is via access tracks off Burgh Road, Burgh St. Peter, as shown on attached plans.

DIRECTIONS
From Beccles take the A143 towards Gt Yarmouth, take the right hand turn sign posted Aldeby, proceed along this road into the village of Burgh St Peter. In the centre of the village, turn left into Pit Road. At the junction with Burgh Road turn left and then first right and follow the track down to the marshes.

SOIL TYPE AND GRADE
Under the Soil Survey of England and Wales the land is shown as Newchurch 2 Series, deep stoneless calcareous clay soil and is classified as Grade 3 under the Ministry of Agriculture Land Classification Scheme.
