Mansbridge & Balment Raise over £1000 for St Luke's Hospice

Team M & B", an intrepid group of mountain bikers including Richard Guilor, Rachel Anderson-Stacey, Martyn Cox and former Managing Director David Balment, from Mayfair Office members Mansbridge & Balment, took part in this year's Tour de Moor Challenge and have raised over £1000 for St Luke's Hospice.

"We are delighted to have raised such a large sum for St Luke's and have been overwhelmed by the support of our colleagues, friends and family, many of whom turned up on the day to cheer us on!" said Rachel Anderson Stacey.   “We put a lot of effort into training for the event which paid off on the day. We all made it around the course without any mishaps with the exception of David Balment, who fell off his bike a grand total of 4 times!"

“Having never done anything like this before, the challenge of riding 35 miles across Dartmoor, which included some quite treacherous parts, was quite daunting, but knowing this was for such a great cause, all the blood, sweat and tears during the training was well worth it.  The atmosphere on the day was totally amazing and the round of applause received from the volunteer marshalls around the course was the encouragement needed to keeping on pedalling, especially at the top of the hills!

I was totally overwhelmed by the support we received from family, friends and colleagues for the generous donations that helped us achieve such a phenomenal amount.

The whole experience was brilliant and I cannot wait until next year!!”

Team M&B would like to thank all those who contributed to this very worthwhile cause and also St Luke's Hospice, for organising this fantastic event.
