Wales

Wales South Wales is a largely industrial and commercial region sandwiched between two areas of outstanding natural beauty, Pembrokeshire and the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons and Wye Valley. Cardiff, the capital city, has seen exciting regeneration over the past ten years and nearby Penarth and Cowbridge in the Gower peninsular are popular with buyers.

Stretching up from the south coastal road like seven fingers are the Valleys famous for their coal pits, now long gone but not forgotten. House prices here, as in many areas of Wales, have been spiralling upwards for a decade.

Central Wales is largely hill farming land while to the north of the principality is Wales’s crowning glory Snowdonia. Now a national park with restricted development, areas outside the park are popular with buyers.
