North Yorkshire
The Pennine Hills run down the western length of the county. To the north are the Yorkshire Dales and to the north east are the Yorkshire Moors, whilst the eastern edge is a dramatic coastline. This is a much-loved landscape in all its various guises.
Most favoured locations are within easy reach of York including Sutton-on-the-Forest, Stillington, and Askham Bryn. In the Dales are Aysgarth, Bainbridge, Crake and Egton Bridge. Giggleswick and Linton in Craven are two of the most delightful Pennine villages.
