Oxfordshire
Thanks to the M40 Oxfordshire is now in the first rank of commuter counties. This was not always so, but a county which abuts a lazy Thames on one side and the Cotswold fringes on the other has much going for it. Between the two are the Vale of the White Horse and the ‘dreaming spires’ of Oxford, where the Summertown area is very popular for buyers.
Thames-side villages are of course prized and popular, as are the villages towards Woodstock and Burford.
